Our identity is not found in ministry, in our gifts, or in the opinions of people. Those things may be part of our journey, but they do not define who we are. Only God does.
When we begin to look to others for validation, approval, or even answers, we step into dangerous ground. The Word of God is the only source of truth that never shifts. Man’s opinion changes with the wind, but God’s Word stands forever.
Paul reminds us in Galatians 1:10, “Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? … If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
Your value is not in how much you accomplish, how gifted you are, or how others perceive you. Your value is anchored in Christ alone, chosen, loved, and redeemed. If you know this, you can walk free from the pressure to perform for people and rest secure in the approval of the Father.
Father, help us to see ourselves the way You see us. Remind us daily that our worth is found in You alone, not in what we do or what others think of us. Guard our heart from seeking human approval and teach us to rest fully in Your love and truth. Amen.
