Take the Time to Heal (Your soul is worth the slow work of restoration.)
Trauma doesn’t just fade because time passes. It fades because truth enters. Because Jesus touches it. Because you stop running from it and start inviting Him into it.
Healing isn’t weakness. It’s warfare. It’s brave.
It’s the holy pause that says: "I’m not going to keep pretending I’m fine when I’m bleeding inside.”
Maybe you’ve said things like…“I should be over this by now. ”I don’t have time to fall apart. ”Other people have it worse. ”If I stop, I might break.”
But beloved…Ignoring it doesn’t heal it. Pushing it down doesn’t make it disappear. And pretending you’re okay only delays the freedom God longs to give you.
Jesus is not in a rush. He’s in the room. He sits with you in the grief, the confusion, the rage, the numbness. He’s not intimidated by your pain. He’s already carried it—and now He’s asking to help you unpack it.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
Healing looks like:
Letting yourself feel what you buried
Inviting the Holy Spirit into old memories
Releasing the people who hurt you into God’s hands
Learning to rest without guilt
Saying “yes” to inner healing and deliverance
Choosing wholeness over hustle
Prayer to Begin Again:
Father, I give You the places I’ve been avoiding. The wounds I thought were too deep. The pain I’ve kept hidden just to survive.I invite You in. Come gently, come fully. I want to heal—not just cope. Thank You for Your patience and Your power. I trust You with my healing journey. In Jesus’ name, amen.
You are not behind. You are not broken beyond repair. You’re on the sacred path of becoming whole.
Take the time. Do the work. Let the Healer walk you home.
