Many of you are feeling it... the tension of the in-between | Bridget Marcus

You’re not where you used to be, but you’re also not fully where you’re going. It feels rocky, uncomfortable, even disorienting. You can’t quite explain it, but deep down you sense… something is shifting.

It’s because the Father is uprooting the old mindsets, the old strategies, the old ways of doing things, especially the religious thinking that has kept you bound to cycles of striving, performance, and man-made expectations.

This is why it feels unfamiliar. He’s not just changing your surroundings; He’s transforming the foundation beneath your feet.

The old wine can’t hold the new wine He’s pouring out in your life. If He allowed the new to fill the old system, it would burst. So, in His love, He’s stripping away what won’t sustain you in the next season.

“And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the new wine will burst the skins; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, new wine must be poured into new wineskins.” — Luke 5:37-38 NIV

You may feel out of place, but you are not misplaced.

You may feel unsettled, but you are not forsaken.

The Father is stretching you but it’s because He’s positioning you.

And hear this....be careful not to judge others simply because what they carry or how they move isn’t familiar to you. God is sending people into your life who are anointed to help build what He wants built. They may not look like what you expected — but they carry blueprints you’ve been praying for.

Their presence is an answer, not a threat.

He’s inviting you to surrender fully to the process, even when it’s uncomfortable. Don’t resist the shaking. Don’t run back to familiar places just because the new feels foreign. You are being prepared for the new thing that is emerging.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” - Isaiah 43:19 NIV

Stay the course. The NEW requires a renewed YOU.

Prayer:

Father, I thank You that even when I can’t see it clearly, You are moving me forward. I surrender the tension, the confusion, the disorientation I feel in this in-between place. Uproot every old mindset, every strategy, every belief system that can’t carry what You’re about to pour into me.

Give me eyes to see and ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying in this hour. Help me to discern the people You are sending to build alongside me; those carrying blueprints, wisdom, and encouragement for the next season. Teach me not to judge by what’s familiar, but to recognize what is divine.

Renew my mind, stretch my capacity, and align my heart with Yours. I choose to trust the process, even when it’s uncomfortable. I declare that I will not go back to the familiar out of fear, but I will press forward into the NEW with boldness and faith.

Thank You, Father, for rebuilding me, restoring me, and positioning me for what’s ahead. I am Yours, fully surrendered to Your way, Your will, and Your timing.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Let the old mindsets fall away. Let the old wineskin be replaced. What God is about to pour out in your life will require capacity, humility, and trust.

You’re not lost. You’re being led.

You’re not broken. You’re being rebuilt.

Don’t despise the tension ...it’s the birthplace of transformation.
