It's Time To Grow | Bridget Marcus

There comes a time when you realize that holding on to what’s behind you only keeps you from walking fully into what’s ahead. This is that time for me. I’m stepping into a new season, not with bitterness, regret, or exhaustion, but with peace.

I’m releasing the old, the pain, the weight, the people who were only meant for a chapter, not the whole story. I’m only carrying with me the lessons learned, the growth gained, and the wisdom God has taught me in the wilderness.

I’ve learned that I don’t have to chase anyone. Those who are meant to walk with me will naturally stay. And those who aren’t meant to go where God is taking me, it’s okay to let them go. John 15:2 says, “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit… while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.”

Pruning seasons are hard. Sometimes it feels like loss, but really it’s preparation. Because what God is about to grow from this place of surrender will be beautiful. To everyone who has been there for me, who prayed for me, checked on me, encouraged me, listened, and stood beside me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love has meant more than words could ever express. And to those I haven’t been able to be there for this past year, I’m sorry. There were days I was simply trying to survive. But I thank God that I’m beginning to live again. One step, one breath, one prayer at a time.

Good things are on the horizon. I feel it. I believe it. I trust Him with it.

Father, thank You for new beginnings and fresh grace. Thank You for carrying me through every storm and teaching me to rest in Your timing. Help me to walk into this new season with peace, courage, and faith. Let Your will be done in my life. Prune what needs to go, and water what needs to grow. I surrender the old so You can bring forth the new. In Jesus name, amen.
